When designing their new conservatory restaurant,
Calcot Manor chose the flush fitting Silverline ceiling from
Britannia to provide aesthetically pleasing kitchen ventilation
solution, as the kitchen is on view to the diners in the restaurant.
Prime cooking equipment in the centre of the kitchen is ventilated
with a dedicated extract canopy which unlike cassette ceiling
systems, provides a dedicated fire compartment and manages
the collection of grease.
The area surrounding the canopy is laid to grid with insulated
stainless steel ceiling tiles and supply diffusers. The structural
void above the ceiling is used as a supply plenum which keeps
the void and the services within, clean and free from grease,
unlike cassette ceilings which use the void as an extract
chamber which is difficult to clean.
Britannia provide free design advice, and will prepare design
details for your project, free of charge.
