SQA - Glasgow - Refresh Unit

The new offices of the Scottish Qualifications Authority has recently installed a Refresh recirculation unit into its new offices in Robertson Street, Glasgow.

Refresh is a self contained ventilation unit comprising of a supply and extract ventilation canopy with a dedicated services tower at one end. The tower provides five stage filtration of the extracted air, removing grease and odours before reintroducing the air back into the kitchen through the supply diffusers on the canopy.

As the unit does not need to be ventilated to atmosphere, it was ideal for use at SQA, as it was not possible to route extract ductwork through the building.

The unit installed at SQA benefits from the optional controls package, which controls operator comfort control buttons (low medium and high). The controls package also provides an audible and visual indication of the condition of the four stages of additional filtration within the services tower.
