The kindersley centre at Sheepdrove organic farm is owned by publishers, environmental campaigners and organic farmers Peter and Juliet Kindersley.
The Kindersley Centre is a purpose built conference centre housed within an eco friendly building surrounded by fields and woodland.
The dining room features an open plan kitchen which is constructed from oak beams, and is visible from the dining room, so aesthetics were important when considering the kitchen ventilation system.
Britannia designed and supplied an island extract and supply canopy which works around the numerous oak beams which span across the kitchen space.
Make up air is introduced back to the kitchen through stainless steel supply diffusers integral to the canopy, which provides total ventilation from one unit, avoiding the need for ceiling mounted diffusers.
All canopies are designed and manufactured to HVCA specification DW 172, incorporating high efficiency baffle type grease filters which require very low maintenance when compared to mesh type units.
Should additional filtration be required, Britannia can incorporate UV filtration which provides secondary grease destruction and odour removal before the air is discharged.
