Pizza express has opened a restaurant adjacent to the new Lowry
Gallery in Salford which incorporates a centralised cooking
operation which forms the focal point of the restaurant.
Ventilation is provided by an extract canopy which has a large
cylindrical valance around manufactured from satin polished
stainless steel.
Inside the valance is a self supporting stainless steel structural
framework which supports not only the canopy and valance, but
also the entire structure above the canopy.
The canopy and the integral structural steelwork were designed,
manufactured and installed by Britannia in strict compliance
with the new standard for kitchen ventilation, DW172.
