Principal of Operation
Contaminated air from the cooking application
is drawn through Superstream high efficiency baffle type
grease filter panels located within the main canopy unit.
The air is then drawn through the extract plenum into
the top of the integral services tower.
The extracted air is then passed through five stages of
additional filtration in the services tower to remove
grease, smoke and odour.
This cleaned air is then reintroduced into the canopy
via an integral supply air plenum which distributes the
air through the front face diffusers and personal spot
coolers back into the kitchen.
|
Standard Features
Services tower is fully insulated to minimise noise breakout.
Canopy system is fitted with recessed fluorescent lighting.
Each unit is pre-wired internally and supplied with approx
3 metre long connection lead, fitted with standard BS
3 Phase connection plug. |
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Due to requirements of Gas Regulations, Refresh Units
can only be used over electrically powered cooking equipment.
Refresh does not include equipment to reduce the extracted
air temperature, therefore consideration should be given
to provide cooling within the kitchen.
|
Optional
Intelligent Controls Package
The standard system is supplied with an on/off
switch with speed control potentiometer.
You can provide greater control of your Refresh Unit,
by selecting the optional intelligent controls package.
The controls package is designed to achieve intelligent
control of the fan unit without any external influence,
this is achieved through linked pressure switches within
the services tower which regulate the speed of the fan
unit.
As system pressure increases through filter absorbency,
the fan unit speeds up to maintain balanced extract.
Visible and audible warnings are provided to indicate
when integral filters require maintenance or replacement.
Should the system resistance increase to a point beyond
which the fan can achieve, an automatic cut out will function
to prevent any damage to the fan unit.
A full selection of spare filter elements and accessories
available from Britannia, to keep your refresh unit, running
for many years.
|
Optional
Rear Panelling
The standard Refresh unit has the services tower
at one end, and a support wall at the other end to make
the unit freestanding.
The area to the rear of the cooking equipment is left
open.
You can however take advantage of the rear panelling option.
The rear panelling runs from floor level, up to the underside
of the canopy, and the full length of the cookline between
the services tower, and the end wall. If you select this
option, it comes complete with an integral services distribution
raceway to house the electrical services to the cooking
equipment, (installed by others)
