UV Air Filtration

UV Air Filtration incorporates ultra violet light to provide secondary grease removal and odour destruction in commercial kitchens. The Ultrastream canopies supplied by Britannia have high efficiency baffle filters which provide the first stage of grease removal and also act as a physical barrier to restrict the spread of flames should a fire break out. The extracted air in the ventilation system passes through a UV reaction chamber and intense UVC light breaks down the remaining grease and debris using a combination of photolysis and ozonolysis. This process leaves your kitchen with clean air with a trace of ozone, which is quickly absorbed into the atmosphere.
